Regional Specialized Meteorology Center (RSMC) for the Western North Pacific
You can access the RSMC above for storm data in the Western North Pacific. You can also visit the Joint Typhoon Warning Center (JTWC) and the tropical cyclone page at the Navy Research Laboratory (NRL) for additional information about storms in this region.
When available, our site has dropsonde data from the DOTSTAR project. Their project, in which an aircraft samples the environment around a storm, is conducted for typhoons near the Taiwan region. Only sonde data, when available through NOAA, is available on our site. We do not have any other live reconnaissance products on our site for the Western North Pacific.
